:: History ::

Rogue Steiner was born and raised on Corellia in the Corellian Sector of the Core Worlds region for most of his childhood and teenage life. His parents were state officials in the Corellian Government. Rogue was the oldest of a triplet set, but the second oldest in his family. The Steiner Bloodline could be traced back to before the Sith Wars, the family having kept excellent records, but secret. His father, Riggs, and oldest brother, Jason, had both been taught in the Ways of the Jedi before and after the Fall of the Republic and Rise of the Empire. They, in turn, taught Rogue the basics of the Force and of the Jedi Knights in many forms of the Force, but not as a whole. There we still gaps in which Rogue would have to fill for himself when the time was right.

After reaching the age of nineteen Rogue joined a group known as The Marine Mercenaries (TMM). He ended up operating with a rogue alliance military faction known as the Freedom Fighters (Fx2) to perform a variety of missions. Soon he was executing assignments on planets like Coruscant, Kessel, and others. Finally after two years in the Ground Division he transferred to Starfighter Vipers (SV), the starfighter division of the Freedom Fighters, and became an ace fighter pilot in the T-65 X-wing Starfighter. Soon he was serving off of Home One (not the same as Admiral Ackbar's Home One) and then was transferred to over twelve different ships and over thirty different squadrons in too many tours of duty to even count. Finally, at the age of twenty-two and a half, he joined The Rebel Alliance, wanting to finish his Jedi training and become a Jedi like his fathers before him. He became the padawan-learner to Jedi Master Jedi Binks.

After years of training under Binks the young Steiner was presented in front of The Jedi Council. Overwhelming odds almost overtook the young Jedi padawan, but he was on the top of his skills and at the height of his power. He was granted Knighthood and became a Jedi Knight. At the same time of his training as a Jedi Rogue continued to his military service, serving as Executive Office of Rogue Squadron, the elite squadron of the Alliance. After being granted Knighthood Steiner started to pass on his knowledge in the Force and Jedi ways by training new padawans at The Jedi Academy. (Reference: The Rebel Alliance faction.)

Soon the New Republic decided to commission a new division of Fleet Command, codenamed Rebel Squadrons. The Republican wanted a seasoned pilot and office to head up the new division. They contacted Steiner and he accepted, being granted the rank of general by the High Command of the New Republic. Around the same time Steiner was given the rank of Jedi Master by Jedi Master General Ceel for his continued service and growing campaign against the Sith. Steiner was also granted a position on the Jedi Council of the Rebel Alliance.

Steiner later left both the Alliance and left many friends behind. He found himself on Floating City III on Bespin in the Anoat sector where he discovered a group of lost Jedi Knights known as The Lost Nine. They had been in hiding since the Galactic Civil War had started, having aged well into elder years. Under the direction of The Nine Steiner grow in understanding of the Force, both light and darkness, good and evil, while his powers continued to grow with his knowledge.

While on Floating City III Rogue moved Rebel Squadrons to the compound and began to build an army and navy that could match no other. While there Jedi Binks came and found him, asking him back to The Rebel Alliance in an upcoming attack on the Dark Sith Order. He accepted. He went before The Nine and wished for their blessing as he knew his time with them was over. The Nine imparted their blessing on the now Rogue Jedi Master and bestowed upon Steiner the highest honor of the Old Jedi Order: Master of the Order. As Steiner bowed to leave the presence of The Nine they started to fade, becoming one with the Force. The Rogue Jedi Master wept a tear as his Masters and Teachers left him alone in the Chamber of Nine. As he walked out of the room, Rogue took out his lightsaber, and sealed the door shut. In the metal he carved the Old Jedi Order emblem and nine bolts of light from it: the Seal of the Nine. Turning from the chamber door Steiner could feel he was being called back into service, so he left Bespin and the Rogue Jedi Order he had established there over the years to fight along side old friends once more. (Reference: Rogue Jedi Order faction.)

The Battle of Zaltin happened on the Dark Sith Order's homeplanet of Thyferra. General Steiner led members of Rogue Steiner and Rebel Squadrons against the Sith on their own soil. The battle, seemingly unended, lasted until a final push of the Alliance could bing to past their slight, but clear victory. And ending lightsaber battle in one of the main hangers of the city against the Jedi and Sith cleared the Alliance's victory… but the victory was not without lost…

During the lightsaber battle Rogue squared off with Sith Master Malice Draclau, fighting around the hanger. At the very end the two could not win over the other until a Force push on each other knocked the two out cold. Jedi Master Steiner was captured by the Dark Sith Order and Sith Master Draclau became captive of the Alliance. But to the Alliance Rogue was presumed dead at the end of the battle, the hanger having exploded and taking all lives within it. Rogue was moved to the prison planet of Titus on the Outer Rim. There he had been held for over a year, lost to his friends and allies. (Reference: The Battle of Zaltin roleplay.)

Intelligence reports reached Jedi Binks on Corellia that the possibility that Steiner was still alive. Assembling the remaining ships to form Taskforce Last Hope the fleet departed Corellian space and moved on Titus. A flight of X-wings from Red Squadron charged the way into the prison planet, allowing a transport to land on the surface. After fierce fighting through the compound Steiner was rescued and returned to Corellia, receiving months of rehabilitation and bacta treatments for wounds, scars, poisoning, and more. (Reference: Die Another Day roleplay.)

As Steiner continued to heal word arrived to Corellia that the Second Fall of the Republic had happened, leaving a vacuum of power within the galaxy and the last hope for the Free Worlds rested upon the shoulder of The Rebel Alliance. But the Alliance in its own turmoil as a chief petty officer of high status was murdered in the room next to the healing general and fingers started to point to the different members of the Alliance. The investigation led to the capture of Dark Jedi Mel Dace (not related to Jedi Knight Jedi Dace). As the dust started to settle on the Alliance Steiner called together those of the Free World, the Sith, and every faction possible for the Second Annual Moonlight Ball. (Reference: Trust No One roleplay.)

At the Second Annual Moonlight Ball as leader of the Alliance General Steiner welcomed his guests from all walks of life, hoping that peace could be found. But just as he started to toast a silence shot pierced the glass walls and struck the general in the chest, causing his assassination and murder. A pursuit happens on Lieutenant Corran Force, a trusted advisor to Steiner, but the dear lieutenant was able to disappear. As the body of General Steiner was removed the more finger pointing starts towards members of the Jedi Council that didn't like the way the Rogue Jedi Master was handling his duties as leader of the Free Worlds. A small civil war begins and ends in distrust. (Reference: Second Annual Moonlight Ball roleplay.)

As the civil war ends the memorial service for General Rogue Steiner, Rogue Jedi Master of the Jedi Order, took place on the flagship of the Rebel Alliance. Adrian Thresh, a long time friend and ally to Steiner, became promoted to General and Alliance High Commander. He oversaw the funeral service of Steiner and as per his request and will the Fall Hero of the Alliance was launched into the Corellian Sun. But was it an end to his legacy and legend… (Reference: The Price of Freedom roleplay.)

Several months later a number of small ships landed back on the ice-planet of Hoth in the Anoat sector near Bespin. The old remains of Echo Base began to spark to life as cargo ships brought supplies and equipment. Leading the same rebel group was none other than General Rogue Steiner. He had faked his own death but could not foresee the fall out that would come about. Rogue had ordered Lieutenant Force to fire the bullet that "killed" him and for the lieutenant to then disappear. A new Rogue Squadron was formed and brought to Hoth, securing the planet and then Bespin once again. The time for action was upon the Steiner descent once again. (Reference: Rogue Squadron: A New Generation faction and Return to Hoth roleplay.)

As Rogue Squadron gained its strength back to its former glory Steiner began to lay out a plan to return The Republic to the seat of power and government that should have been. Taking several squadrons of ABC starfighters and capital ships Steiner launched his daring campaign to reseat the Republic. It ended with marshal law being declared and with Steiner's military retaking over government buildings and executing crime-lords and outlaws. Rogue called together the governments of the Free Worlds to sign the Free Worlds Treaty, resurrecting the Republic. It was never signed. (Reference: Rise of the Republic roleplay.)

When the Free Worlds Treaty was not signed Rogue moved Rogue Squadron back to Corellia and there found a small, but still willing Rebel Alliance there waiting for orders. Rogue Squadron and the Alliance merged as one once again and began to rebuild under the command of General Steiner. (Reference: The Rebel Alliance faction and The Rising Sun roleplay.) As the rebuilding of the Alliance continued something pulled Steiner from the Alliance and those he loved once again. He left the Alliance and departed into the Unknown Regions of the Galaxy.

This part of the History of Rogue Steiner is still being written but let it be said that he returned to a planet known as Sarahemla to fulfill the Prophecy of The One set forth thousands of years before by the Brotherhood of the Phoenix. Here he has become the Emperor-King of the Great Planets of Sarahemla, having married, has had children, become widowed, and is now returning to those he left behind many years before. (Reference: The Steiner Chronicles.)

The Saga of the Steiners is far from over…

But Few Ever Go Away Forever...

There are those role-players that have many characters and have paved a way for future generations of role-players to enjoy. Supernova and Itala Marzullo are just two that paved a way that cannot either be destroyed or belittled. Many will return though and bring about an older spirit with the new. They come and go but never go away forever...

The same can be said for The Rebel Alliance, founded by Jedi Binks, a close personal friend of mine on...
